China and Uzbekistan signed a memorandum of understanding to expand textile cooperation

Recently, a delegation from the Uzbek Textile Industry Association held talks with the chairman of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Committee in Urumqi. After the meeting, the two sides formally signed a memorandum of understanding to expand textile cooperation, laying the foundation for the next stage of capacity complementarity and market linkage, and clearly stated that they would strengthen corporate collaboration and promote industrial interconnection. The delegation also held preliminary talks with Xinjiang Dongchunxing Textile Co., Ltd., Xinjiang Tangjin Textile Co., Ltd. and many other companies, focusing on expanding Uzbek product exports, building joint storage facilities, and exploring the establishment of production bases in Ukraine. In addition, the roundtable meeting discussed optimizing supply chain paths, spinning and weaving technology cooperation, and cross-border allocation mechanisms for fiber raw materials. Uzbekistan is the world's fifth largest cotton exporter, and Xinjiang is a major base for China's cotton textile industry. The cooperation between the two sides is expected to achieve full-chain linkage of "raw materials-processing-export", and China-Uzbekistan textile cooperation will move to a deeper level.
